Every two years, QA/QI trends across the state are evaluated in an effort to improve EMS clinician knowledge and skills. Using this information, mandatory training has been developed for all advanced life support (ALS) clinicians who plan to renew their Maryland license in 2023 and 2024.

Pelvic Binders

The goal of this course is to reinforce the clinical benefits of ketamine when used within the scope of practice of the Maryland ALS clinician, while utilizing pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and best practices to achieve optimal therapeutic effect.

OB Emergencies

Students will review high-risk, low frequency events related to the obstetric patient, including eclampsia, hemorrhage, difficult delivery, and neonatal resuscitation; and identify current trends in maternal morbidity and mortality.

Epinephrine Infusion
