The completion of the appropriate Maryland EMS Update 2018 will fulfill the annual protocol update requirement for MD EMS Providers.

ALL Maryland EMS Providers MUST complete the appropriate Maryland EMS Update 2018 BEFORE 1 July 2018!

For 2018:  ALS providers and BLS providers each have a separate update to complete.  If you are a Paramedic or CRT, you should complete the ALS update to meet your requirements.  If you are an EMR or EMT, you should complete the BLS update to meet your requirements.

NOTE:  If you go to the course instructional content and cannot see the video (Just a black screen), there may be a conflict with your version of the web browser that you are using (Most often Google Chrome).  Log out of the Online Training Center and then log back in using another web browser (I.E.:  Internet Explorer, Firefox).

Completion of this course fulfills the 2018 protocol update requirements for BLS providers (EMTs and EMRs).

EMT and EMR Providers in Maryland MUST complete this update before 1 July 2018!

Successful completion requires the completion of both Part I and Part II of the instructional content followed by the completion of the course quiz with a score of 70% or greater.

NOTE:  If you go to the course instructional content and initially get a "Black Screen", wait approximately 30 seconds and see if the presentation begins after the delay.  If not, there may be a conflict with your version of the web browser that you are using.  Log out of the Online Training Center and then log back in using another web browser.  In testing this problem occurred occasionally when using Google Chrome; however, the presentation played after the short delay.
